Ok, and so what’s the difference with a cold weather tent?
As I mentioned, a 4 season tent is designed to handle snowstorms. Which means it should not collapse under heavy snow stacking on top of it.
And this is the main difference: some tents will keep you warm enough to camp in cold weather, but if it snows a lot, snow will stack up and it will eventually collapse.
The tents I listed as cold weather tents are good for cold weather, but not the best if you’re expecting a lot of snow.
